About EnviroPAK
Founded in 1995, EnviroPAK’s mission is to provide world class sustainable packaging solutions that are environmentally friendly. Our quest began in Earth City Missouri, with the funding to build a state of the art 20,000 square foot facility. Receiving additional financing through local banks, the Small Business Administration, and the St. Louis Economic Development Council enabled us to purchase our first production machine from Emery International Developments Ltd. of Toronto.
Our first product was fluorescent bulb end caps. Since then we have produced protective molded pulp packaging for the Electronics, Computer, Beverage, Consumer Goods, Automotive, CD/DVD, Medical, Candle, Wine, Food Service and Telecommunication Markets, to name a few. EnviroPAK is also proud to have won the IOPP (Institute of Packaging Professionals) AmeriStar Gold Award for the design of a 12 bottle beer shipper, as well as a Technology and Innovation Award from the St. Louis County Economic Council.
Product design and tooling was originally outsourced in the early years. Yet in order to respond quickly to customer needs, we have formed an in-house design team and built a tooling center. We now utilize CAD stations and CNC machines, which allow our customers to go from concept to market as quick as anyone in the industry.
Through the years we have expanded our plant to 35,000 square foot level to accommodate our large growth. We have added additional production lines, increased our warehousing space, added the tooling center, and expanded our offices to facilitate our ability to meet our customers’ demands. We expanded yet again in 2008, enabling us to employ another high speed production line in our new 100,000 sq. ft. Production runs 24/7, and we pride ourselves on the level of talent and expertise that we offer in our manufacturing, design, sales and administration departments. The quality and service that EnviroPAK offers is second to none in the industry.
As we move towards a global economy, companies must adhere to new regulations from the EU, which limits the use of certain foams and plastics. In fact, some countries impose taxes on plastic interior packaging. While the price of oil, and subsequently plastics, continue to rise, companies are looking to reduce costs, while at the same time adhering to environmental regulations. As a result, many corporations are requiring sustainable packaging solutions, and have found molded pulp to be a viable and cost effective packaging material solution. So, more than a decade after we shipped our first molded pulp end cap, our original mission continues to drive our company, which is providing environmentally friendly, world class sustainablepackaging solutions. |
