Lower Costs:
The piece price of an item is not always indicative of the TOTAL COST of acquisition.  In fact, transportation, warehousing, labor and factory floor space are all major components of the total cost of any given item. Molded pulp can reduce the total cost by as much as 70% when compared to EPS (expanded polystyrene), die cut corrugate and other plastic materials.  With today’s volatile oil marketplace, the price of plastics continue to rise, and in some cases have doubled or tripled in the past 12-18 months.  Since our product is derived from 100% recycled newspaper, our raw material costs have been relatively stable for years.

Space Saving:
EnviroPAK designs packaging that will nest together, which allows for a much larger quantity to be placed on a pallet.  This will enable you to ship a larger quantity per truckload, thus reducing your landed cost vs bulky foams and plastics.  For some parts, approximately 50% less volume is required for shipping. Additionally, less warehouse space is required to store molded pulp.  And you will find space saving opportunities on the factory floor as well. 

Time Saving:
EnviroPAK’s molded pulp is ready to use once it hits your factory floor.  Complicated die-cuts, though less expensive in terms of unit cost, become extremely expensive when considering the labor cost for assembly.  Production lines can run faster, and less labor is needed when you use molded pulp.  Since you are able to put more molded pulp product on a pallet vs alternative packaging, less frequent shipments are necessary, so there is less ordering for the purchasing department, and fewer invoices for the accounting department.

Protection/Cushioning:
Can you think of products more fragile than eggs and light bulbs?  Molded pulp has protected them for over 50 years.  Molded pulp exhibits superior performance in vibration tests, and provides superior protection against the damaging effects of vibration and shock.  Many of our products have undergone rigorous testing, and have passed UPS, Fed-Ex and various ISTA requirements.

Environment:
EnviroPAK’s molded pulp is produced from 100% discarded post-consumer newspaper that is otherwise headed for a landfill, and we produce an environmentally friendly package that is 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable.  Our molded pulp packaging meets global standards and expectations of environmentally sensitive consumers.  In today’s environmentally conscious world, states and even some European countries are mandating “earth friendly” packaging.  In addition, many companies are jumping on the sustainable packaging bandwagon, by implementing policies and procedures that foster sustainability.  EnviroPAK has the product that will meet those standards.
